Plan-London Branches out

Plan-London (the specialist floor plans & lease plans provider) has expanded its operations. It has now opened offices in Manchester (www.plan-manchester.com) & Bristol (www.plan-bristol.com). Director Ed James explained “it has always been our intention to open up regional offices in strategic locations across the UK and with the launch of these branches we can get to most locations to measure clients buildings in a short space of time and provide a more comprehensive service.”

Ed James of Plan London, Jamie Murray Wells founder of glasses direct and Trevor Bond UK boss of Cadbury Plc all appeared on BBC 2’s Working Lunch programme to discuss the state of the economy, tips for businesses and predict what will happen to the Bank of England base rate.

Cross the tracks

Plan London has been appointed to carry out a measured survey for the Tottenham Court Road section of Crossrail. They will be working with Knight Frank in recording details of a number of buildings including one of the capital’s best known music venues Astoria before they sadly make way for TFL’s major transport project. Working Lunch Recession Rant

Maureen, Ed & their little daughter Robyn were visited by BBC 2’s Working Lunch team. They came to the office to speak to us about small businesses and the recession after Ed contacted them accusing the government of being “spineless gangsters” for not sorting out the banks, late payers and HMRC. Somehow the “spineless gangsters” bit disappeared from the item when it was aired on TV.

A bit of Business in Birmingham

Three of our intrepid Plan London surveyors have successfully completed an instruction to carry out a full measured survey to produce NIA calculations and lease plans on four of Birmingham’s tallest office buildings totalling over 250,000sqft. We say intrepid as they were stranded by snow on the 2nd day!
